How to Fix – Banking Details Pending or Failed

A Banking Details Pending or Banking Details Failed status means there is an issue with verifying or processing the bank account information connected to your application. This does not necessarily mean that your application has been rejected. The problem may simply be that your banking information needs to be checked, corrected or updated.

What Does “Banking Details Pending” Mean?

A pending banking status generally means your bank information has been submitted but the verification process has not been completed.

The system may still be checking whether your personal information matches the bank account details provided and whether the account can be used to receive the payment.

While the verification is pending, a payment may not be released to the account.

What Does “Banking Details Failed” Mean?

A failed banking status indicates that the supplied information could not successfully pass the required verification.

Common causes include:

  • Incorrect account number
  • Incorrect branch or bank information
  • An inactive or closed account
  • Account details that do not belong to the applicant
  • Personal information that does not match bank records
  • Recently changed banking information that has not yet been verified
  • Incorrect account type or other banking information

The exact reason can vary, so the first step is to carefully review the information you submitted.

1. Check Your Account Number

Compare the account number on your application with the account number provided by your bank.

Even a single incorrect digit can prevent the account from being verified. Do not rely on memory when checking your information. Use your bank statement, banking application or official bank documentation to confirm the correct details.

2. Confirm the Account Is Active

Make sure the account is still open and operational.

If the account has been closed, frozen or restricted, it may not be suitable for receiving an electronic payment.

Contact your bank if you are unsure about the status of the account.

3. Make Sure the Account Belongs to You

The bank account should generally be registered in your own name.

Using another person’s account can cause verification problems because the account holder’s information may not match the information on your application.

If you recently changed your name or personal information, make sure your bank records and application information are consistent where required.

4. Check Your Banking Information Carefully

Review all the information associated with your payment account.

Check the:

  • Bank name
  • Account number
  • Account type
  • Branch information, where applicable
  • Account holder information

If anything is incorrect, use the official process to update the information.

5. Update Incorrect Details

If your banking information has changed or was entered incorrectly, update it through the official online system or approved channel.

After submitting new information, the status may remain pending while the updated details are verified. Avoid repeatedly changing your banking information unless there is a genuine error.

Frequent unnecessary changes can make it harder to determine which information is currently being processed.

6. Check With Your Bank

If the information appears correct but verification continues to fail, contact your bank.

Ask the bank to confirm that:

  • The account is active.
  • The account is registered in your name.
  • The account can receive electronic deposits.
  • There are no restrictions affecting incoming payments.
  • The account information you are using is correct.

The bank can confirm the condition of the account, although it may not be able to explain why an external verification system has rejected the information.

7. Check Your Status After Making Changes

After correcting your banking information, check your application status again through the official status-checking service.

Allow time for the updated information to go through verification. A successful update does not necessarily mean that the status will change immediately.

8. Avoid Sharing Banking Security Information

Never give another person your banking password, PIN, card PIN, one-time password or other confidential security information to help resolve a banking problem.

Only provide the information specifically requested through the official payment or banking process.

When Should You Seek Further Assistance?

If your banking status remains Pending for an unusually long period, or changes to Failed even though your information is correct, use the official support channel to request assistance.

Keep your identification and application information available when making an enquiry. This can help the support team identify the problem and determine whether additional verification is required.

A Pending banking status usually means verification is still in progress, while Failed means the submitted banking information did not successfully pass verification.

Start by checking your account number and other banking details, confirm that the account is active and belongs to you, and correct any inaccurate information through the official process. If the details are correct but the problem continues, contact your bank and use the official support channel for further assistance.
